SKETCHY DUMP

Ahhhhhh, some scanned and camera-photographed doodles from work and stuff from my livestream sessions.

Some things I painted in openCanvas this week during my livestream sessions.

On Her Knees

Swirl

A doodle I coloured in openCanvas. I really hate painting, I prefer drawing xP

At least her hair came out decently.

A bunch more sketches. Most of them are based on posemanics.com and fashion photos.

So it's been over a month. And I've hardly painted, drawn, or doodled lately.
BUT I attended a speed drawing workshop at AnimeNEXT and got some practice drawing guys in action-y poses. Those are already lost in the mess I call under-my-desk. Aaaaaaaand I'm colouring this thing by the most rad LJ in openCanvas:

Going for a South Indian look-Tamils, to be specific-since he's got dark skin and so-very-straight hair. But he's such a hipster with them glasses and fruity tie, yanno?

You can check out LJ's other wonderful linearts and complete them yourself (HE WANTS YOU TO).

HIS TUMBLR

HIS deviantART.

some doodles from my last livestream and some linearts lying around

you'll have to click for full-size since the smaller doodles were done in openCanvas

I've finished some requests in the last few days.

Jjetty from Gaia

This took forever to do! Okay, more like 4+ hours since I had to do some research for the gun and I'm just not used to drawing guys, period. Did most of the agonising lineart and colouring last night, ahahaaaaa*sigh*.

You can watch much of the process here: Jjetty livestream.

A LOT OF TIME in oC + intuos4 and hp mouse for sketching and colouring

If Kero's Ink was all growed up...she'd look like this! x3

That image at the left is what Ink actually looks like.

I just wanted to draw a lady wearing a dress with a sweet heart neckline, haha. She's into the whole water-power-thing so I gave her bracelets that help her command water? And there's that cop-out of a background. This was a thank you gift for Kero since she drew me all pretty. If you want her to draw something for you....slots are full. sadface! But check out her journal for details and for when slots open up.

Sparkly

Some oC fun, drew this in an hour. I used a reference in the beginning but it was just a link so it's long gone. I finished this up a bit in this broadcast.
That sun flare sucks, ahhhhh. By the time I realised my mistake I couldn't undo all the brushstrokes so I left it as is.

Did some more Gaia arts in the last month or so.
Check out my livestream (the link on the side) for the various broadcasts drawing some of these.
Drawn in MS Paint or openCanvas. All of them belong to their respective users. (c) Gaiaonline

Oh! I'm taking music suggestions for future livestreams; just comment on this or leave me a message on whatever site you know me from.  I like all kinds of music except country and most  rap... I really don't want to keep playing the same music each time. I love taking suggestions from whoever stops by during my broadcasts but seeing that I've a teeny tiny audience each time, I suppose it isn't a big deal.

WOW! This is my 101st post! I can't believe I've published my doodles that many times, it's definitely a milestone, fersure.

I so want it to be spring right now, I'm pretty sure I was born in the wrong climate. D:
Used a colour theme: dark green, teal and yellow. One day I'll paint a real background, I promise.

openCanvas

5 hrs over two days
You can watch the lineart drawn out in the second half of this video up on my livestream channel.

I have been drawing a lot otherwise, I promise! I've photographed the doodles and sketches and I'll dump them  all here soon.

My sketchbook is almost full, time to go looking for a new one. Maybe a slightly bigger one? I've become partial to small sketchbooks...I'm thinking of getting one of those Moleskine books. They look quite smart with the elastic holding the open end together. My current spiral bound book has a rubber band stapled to the cardboard back Same function...just looks a lot shabbier, haha.

I've been doing some Gaia avatar arts lately. LOOK! A GUY! He's rather slim and I didn't give him and muscle definition so I don't know if that really counts, but still. He's an avatar of Akvedot's, a zOMG! clan member, with whom I did an art trade. And the second belongs to Chisuchina, also a clan member. Both of these pieces gave me some more practice with my tablet and openCanvas.

As I'm still getting used to oC, I've realised that it's near impossible to get a fully opaque line. This bothers me when I'm doing lineart...So I've taken to darkening the line art in whatever photo editter-thing I have at hand and then colouring. I've also increased saturation a bit afterwards in Windows Live Photo Gallery.

colouring book time!

Ohhhhh my goodness. I'm still getting used to openCanvas. Layers don't get saved? So when colouring half a dozen linearts for LJ, only this was salvageable. Obviously I wasn't going to attempt to draw a background. Though I had one in mind, all hospital-office-y, but I'm burnt out...

"Dr. Catherine Benjamin
only person who gets to call her Catherine though is her husband.
She will use her feminine wiles and her pushy personality to get things her way.
Her hobbies include, gambling, finding out information about you to use to blackmail you later with, and terrorising her assistant Rui "

I'M SO GLAD I FINALLY COLOURED ONE OF HIS LINEARTS, MAN. HAPPINESS

Oh! I got my tablet fixed, too! Something fussy with the drivers on the computer.

I guess you actually call these paintings compared to the lined works I usually post.

I wanted to put this up on livestream but openCanvas wasn't cooperating. I guess I'm pretty satisfied with the results as this is the first time I'm using this freeware, haha. Two-some hours with a crappy wireless mouse. I was having some trouble with my tablet...scoured half a dozen forums trying to figure out what was wrong. I'll have to call Wacom tomorrow.

Something I did last week. A bunch of artists did some comic work based on the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo. I painted in Tegaki E so it's pretty messy. YOU CAN SEE GOD'S BRAIN! Blasphemy? Nah.

It's all just the tubes in the neck looking like the medulla oblongata and various middle brain structures, haha.
