oekaki
Some art I've drawn in the last few months on the computer using a mouse (like always, it seems). I intend to use my tablet again soon!

A doodle I coloured in openCanvas. I really hate painting, I prefer drawing xP
At least her hair came out decently.
A bunch more sketches. Most of them are based on posemanics.com and fashion photos.

SKETCHBOOK CHALLENGE
I challenged myself to not draw any females the entire weekend. And being at a loss for inspiration, I turned to tumblr. (I've got a dinky food blog there) Thank goodness for tags. I was able to browse through a fat lot of images on my phone without the headache of dealing with deviantART.
Click all of 'em for full size.
And that's all for now. I'm exhausted from all this. But it was a good exercise that I intend on doing again!

Some quick sketches I did last week for a friend's comic thing. Trying to draw snobby rich WASPs at a prep school and failing at it...
Right about when I decide no more girl drawings during the weekend
Flowers: hibiscus, stylised rose, rose, English rose, chrysanthemum, and periwinkle. Started to work on some stone work. Clearly found an excellent Peaches&Cream pop recipe.
Men! Bollywood stars and naked back that's supposed to have a tattoo. And sexy headlights of hot cars. And a one-year old me in the corner.
Spent a large amount of time on this one. More brickwork from my parent's house. Sketches of a two-year-old me with my usual crazy hair. It looks like my baby sister is smirking at the Honda HSC (of which I crammed the front of when it got closer to my neck. Bad, I know). Some kpop video stills. Henna, More male references from tumblr. Like that guy with ridiculous hair.
And that's all for now. I'm exhausted from all this. But it was a good exercise that I intend on doing again!

So it's been over a month. And I've hardly painted, drawn, or doodled lately.
BUT I attended a speed drawing workshop at AnimeNEXT and got some practice drawing guys in action-y poses. Those are already lost in the mess I call under-my-desk. Aaaaaaaand I'm colouring this thing by the most rad LJ in openCanvas:

Going for a South Indian look-Tamils, to be specific-since he's got dark skin and so-very-straight hair. But he's such a hipster with them glasses and fruity tie, yanno?
You can check out LJ's other wonderful linearts and complete them yourself (HE WANTS YOU TO).

Sailor Pluto
I was working on this for a loooooong time, starting it in the local library in early Aprill and then working on it off and on at home. Apparently Chrome doesn't let me edit this, so I have to open up internet explorer just to draw oekaki. :C
Remember that WIP I posted back in April?
No particular story behind why I had drawn her, aside from her being the only brown girl in all the popular anime broadcasted when I was a kid. (My favourite is actually Sailor Jupiter, haha). I took some liberties with her hair...as well as her facial features since this is a realistic piece not 'anime' by any definition.
Her right eye is larger on purpose (for what purpose, I don't know haha) but it didn't look grossly wrong when I flipped the sketch to check for mistakes).
I often don't paint watercolour in oekaki because it just takes too long! This one practically took 400 minutes when most of my other simpler, cel-shaded ones, take around 100 to 150 minutes to do. Of course I wasted a bit of time manually adjusting the opacity of both the WaterC and Solid brushes so I'd get the proper translucency of her skin. It kept looking like wrinkly tissue in the beginning and that irritated me. When I finished it this week I had gotten comfortable with the tools as well as dug out my tablet.
If you wanna see how I drew it and the sketch, watch this: oekaki animation
(it doesn't take you to livestream but there are a couple livestream dedicated to the colouring of this oekaki)

Well, not really. I doodled my old APHOC, India, on an envelope in church yesterday. I was trying to remember the whole police uniform before the sermon ended. >_>
I haven't been drawing as much as I would have liked over the weekend. This computer was hit by a dastardly virus and I had to salvage what I could. I was mostly concerned about the music ('cause I legally purchase it, I don't want to lose it!). Most of my art has been uploaded onto various online repositories..all the good art, anyways.
And reading many books, haha! Spider-Man: Election Day,
No reviews, unless I absolutely loved it; in this case, I loved Hush.
Remember, I've a livestream tomorrow evening. I should be on 5pm PST or 8pm EST. Same difference.
Join me!

A lineart I drew back in February and finally coloured a few weeks ago. Tried a new kind of hairdo.
It was kind of easy to wear, but it didn't look this neat (my hair isn't straight so it was quite messy-looking). This is how I imagined it would have looked like before I had looked in the mirror haha
Those little circle things down the front are supposed to be mirrors...

Missed

So here's a old sketch that never made it to a finalised edition. Heh, I drew earlier this PAST winter. Reminded me of the summer/India. Either or.
FULL VIEW PLEASE
That way you can see what nonsense I wrote on the right side.
I think I rambled on about the summer I spent there and the things I learned about how women dressed. . .
